Jacqueline M. “Jackie” Smith joined Embrace Home Loans in February 2020 as an administrative assistant, swiftly advancing to the role of processor by August that same year. By February 2023, she had assumed the position of business development associate for April DeShano and Mike Easterly. Now, Jackie is pleased to announce her promotion to mortgage loan officer!

Jackie has had the incredible opportunity to deepen her relationships with the people she has served. She has been able to meet with, pray for, and guide so many wonderful people, transforming what can seem to be a scary, difficult, and stressful process into a manageable and rewarding one. She is thrilled to bring her four and a half years of dedicated experience and hard-won understanding to help make her clients’ home buying experience a pleasant one.

Prior to joining Embrace, Jackie worked at Centra Health as a purchasing agent, ordering medical supplies for various departments across LGH, VBH, BMH, and Centra’s Southside Hospitals.

Jackie was drawn to Embrace by her desire for new challenges and her love of learning. She finds satisfaction in the mortgage loan process, where each transaction presents a new opportunity to make the complex simple and easy for her clients.

In her spare time, Jackie serves as the events coordinator on the Worship Team at Living Water Ministries, and enjoys camping, crafting, and singing. She lives in Rustburg, Virginia, with her two boys, along with their beloved Cockapoo, Teddy Bear Smith.

She has three boys, Daniel, 26 who lives in Santa Barbara, California, and works as a theater production specialist in lighting, sound, and projections. Her two younger boys are Nicholas, 15, and Joseph, 12. Jackie’s idea of the perfect day would be sunny in the 70s, sitting by the camper in fellowship with friends and family.
